With the total number of confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases exceeding more than 26 million people globally, our warfighters’ safety now extends well beyond the battlefield. To combat the further spread of COVID-19 and meet the social needs of tactical distancing, LiteFighter Systems, LLC has deployed over 45,000 LiteFighter 1 tents (NSN 8340-01-628-8855) this year to date. We’re helping service men and women win the war on COVID-19 by arming them with the right Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The LiteFighter 1 is a unique, lightweight, multi-season, individual shelter system that can be used both on the ground as a waterproof tent and on a standard-issue US military cot as a bug-proof bed net.
Since we started manufacturing tents, we have provided more than 350,000 warfighters with the best one-person tent available for CONUS Field Training, Emergency Response Missions, and deployed to multiple hot spots worldwide.
With eight possible configurations, the LiteFighter 1 is the most versatile single person tent on the market. This 3-season army tent is deployable on the ground, as a lightweight, back-packable, freestanding tactical tent (with or without a rainfly). You can also attach it to any standard-issue military cot for a secured bug-proof bed net and attach the rainfly onto the cot mounted system for additional privacy and protection.
There is an optional waterproof groundsheet to add to the system for even greater wear resistance and durability. If you want a minimal configuration, the LiteFighter 1 sets up quickly as an ultra-lightweight Hasty Hooch™. To create a freestanding scout hide-site, add your camouflage netting to the hasty hooch configuration.
The LiteFighter 1 sets up quickly and easily. Here’s a demonstration:
LiteFighter has developed a windbreaker attachment that can easily be placed on the inner tent to convert the 3-season military tent into a 4-season shelter for cold/windy conditions. The windbreaker can easily be taken off in warmer climates to reduce the weight and allow for more breathability. The inner tent tub floor and rainfly cover materials are all polyurethane coated; every seam has been carefully sealed with seam tape to make the system completely waterproof.
The double-walled ventilation allows maximum tent airflow and reduces condensation build-up. Dual extra-large rainfly vestibules allow for maximum gear storage and easy access into the tent. This LiteFighter 1 tent offers a simple 3-step assembly/disassembly procedure and packs easily into military rucksacks or 3-day assault packs.
LiteFighter is staying on the leading edge of innovation by replacing the traditional aluminum pole sets with the new “Ghost Bone” ballistic fiber poles, spider hub, and all-weather shock cord. The new Ghost Bone ballistic fiber poles are lighter, stronger, more flexible, and more wind resistant. Watch how the LiteFigher 1 did against Category 1 hurricane-force winds. Seriously, you’ve got to watch this!
The LiteFighter 1 Individual Shelter System includes a 70D inner tent, a 30D rainfly cover, an all-in-one carbon fiber pole frame, six ground stakes, an accessory kit, fabric repair patches, a tent pole repair splint, four tent guy-outs with molded tensioners, a waterproof visual user guide, an accessory kit bag, and a tent carrying case.
The following optional items are available: a 70D waterproof groundsheet (required for hasty-hooch configuration), a windbreaker, and camouflage netting for a tactical scout hide-site.
